Spring

I'm not sure that spring has actually sprung, but the gate is being pushed open as we speak. The earthworms have thawed so the robins have to work harder to catch their lunch. Snow that has been exposed to even the sleepiest rays of sunshine have evaporated back into the clouds to fall yet another day on another part of the world. Even the trees are yawning awake with just a tint of a red halo against the now, occasionally blue sky.
This is my favorite time of the year. The time when the sap begins to bubble and quake inside of the great forests, the little animals and even mankind. Spring is hope for a green tomorrow, for new life and for the eventual taste of Herbs garden produce.
